The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate. GENESIS 3:12

Whom do you hold accountable for the outcome of “your” decision? Do you take responsibility for it at all times? Whom is at fault when the consequences are dire? Or do you take “full responsibility” only when the outcome is positive?   Adam blamed Eve “The woman …gave me from the tree…” He was quick to point out her fault first. Many of us can better see the speck in our brothers eye, but can not or refuse to see the log in our own (Luke 6:41).   Adam placed the blame not only on Eve but directly on GOD. He blamed Eve for bringing him the temptation but he blamed GOD for a lot more.   Read the statement made to GOD “The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me from the tree…” The LORD felt fit to create a companion for him. A direct blessing to accompany man through his walk in life!!! The first union between “MAN and WOMAN” (I won’t go there)!!!Adam blames GOD for creating Eve and blames GOD for allowing her to tempt him. He is essentially saying: Lord if you didn’t “join me to this woman”, if she wasn’t “created to partner with me” (again I won’t go there) then she wouldn’t been here to have tempted me to eat of the tree and I would have never chosen to eat from it on my own so it’s “all” your fault!   Wow, was Adam nuts or what?! His statement is finished with “…and I ate.” He ate. He made the conscience decision to eat from the tree. He was “not” forced! The choice was made “by” him; it was not made “for” him. We must come to terms with our decisions. We are the ones that need to be held accountable for the choices we make. A STOP must be put on blaming others.   The LORD may allow temptations to come our way but as we read in 1Cr 10:13; There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear.    GOD is not the source of temptation. Thru out scripture, Satan is described as the deceiver, the tempter. Our FATHER will not allow us to be locked onto a temptation. Along with the temptation there is a way out. Our ABBA FATHER does not set us up for sin and that’s that. We are able to make the choice of following thru on the temptation or not. We are the ones to be held accountable. We are to blame, not GOD, not our friends or family, not society, us! Praise be to our FATHER for always allowing for victory over failure. AMEN
