For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. GALATIANS 5:17

Do you know who our greatest worst enemy (besides Satan) is? Come now, you all know who it is. This person gives you all kinds of problems. You’ve probably done everything you can do to get along with this individual. Yet, you seem to have daily problems with him/her. This person hinders you from being what you want to be. He/she keeps you from being the kind of Christian you believe God wants you to be. He/she is a constant burden, a constant source of problems.   That enemy is part of a trinity of foes. You are doing battle with the devil, the “flesh” and the world. So, that enemy is you. “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh…” We all do battle with this enemy. What does darkness have in common with light? Nothing, that’s why our flesh and spirit do battle, our spirit wants the things of our LORD and the flesh will despise it, we are in constant battle. Just because you have become a Christian doesn’t mean that things get any easier. On the contrary if you are a threat to Satan, things can become rough for you. He will use things of the world to attack your flesh. You need to be in constant prayer, constant communion with our LORD. Our battle is real and our enemy is us. Our weapons are the WORD, PRAYER and accountability to each other. Stand fast for the battle is here and it’s going to intense as you walk with the LORD. Pray for strength, wisdom and guidance. AMEN
