I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him. LUKE 12:4-5

“I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.” Let’s get really real for a minute. How many times have you backed down from speaking to a friend, family member or any one about CHRIST? What were you worried about, ridicule and rejection? Being labeled a JESUS freak? Getting hurt physically? Remember when you were immersed in the world, right before becoming a member of the CHRIST family? Remember how ‘”bold” you were when talking to people about what you believed? Did you find it easy to argue your point? Stood ready for a physical confrontation? We were filled with deceit yet we moved in boldness for the lie that we were living. You’re no longer living in those times; we’re full of CHRIST now. NOW is the time to speak BOLDLY to those around us. Now is the time to expect confrontation. We know the TRUTH. We need not fear those around us. The “affliction” cast down upon us by others is light and but for a moment (read 2COR4:17).   We should operate in a spirit of triumph, being able to suffer thru any cruelty, or wrath of man, rather than sin against our GOD whom has the authority to cast us into eternal torment! For to suffer in CHRIST is gain for our eternity (read MATTHEW16:25).   “But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him.” Forget the nice, nice. No more hand holding. We are sinners! We must be bold in CHRIST. This is not a game. Our eternal lives and the lives of those around us, those we “love” are in the balance. We are responsible to share the TRUTH. We must take the good with the bad. We ‘will” suffer a second death for our crimes (sin) if we do not repent.   Stop walking the fence and know that scriptures reads, “Whoever doesn’t bear his own cross, and come after me, can’t be my disciple.” (Read LUKE 14:27). GOD has the right to cast us into “…Gehenna…” He is the creator of all things. He is our FATHER. Just like our earthly father may have rules set up and the breaking of those will result in discipline. Our heavenly FATHER more so will hold us accountable for our deeds. Whom but GOD shall we fear? We should fear ourselves. We can kill our life in HIS eternal kingdom. We can give in to our flesh and indulge in carnal pleasures. We can turn from our FATHER and suffer the outcome. We can, in essence, assist in our own casting “… into Gehenna…” We can kill ourselves. We can love our ABBA FATHER, but we should fear him as well. HE holds final judgment. I beseech you, I beg you, I am crying out to you, please read your word. Get to “know” our FATHER. Live for CHRIST. Share HIM with others and fear not “…those who kill the body…” Do not be counted lost. Do not be counted as one whose name is not in the Book of Life. Our ABBA FATHER is waiting with open arms for us. Hold on to him and move in power. AMEN
