For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things, like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. 1 PETER 1:18-19 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Our LORD, CHRIST JESUS paid for us. He was the “… lamb without defect or blemish.”  He was sacrificed for us, we were freed from eternal damnation due to His blood (read JOHN 1:29).     Our LORD owns us. We are His (read 1 PETER 2:9). He paid for us to be free from our sin debt. The “least” we should do in return is glorify Him in all we do. His was more precious than any form of tender used to pay any debt. We should feed our minds with the WORD and maintain our bodies as best as we can. We should not allow any type of self infliction come to harm us. By maintaining our body we can give GOD the glory. Let us not self-destruct (read 1 CORINTHIANS 6:20). I confess here brethren, that I struggle with my flesh will trying to maintain my body. I ask for your prayers as I fight this battle and align my bodily appearance with that of my mind as the LORD deems fit.       If you ever fell unnoticed or lacking in self-esteem, you need to remember what you’re worth. The WORD of GOD came in human form, lived as a man and suffered unbelievable pain for us to be called back to him. Suffered for us as sinners, not for a “holy” or a “righteous” people. It is said in scripture, “… rarely will anyone die for a righteous man … for a good man… But God … While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (read ROMANS 5:7-9).       The challenge is to remember our worth, to meditate on it. To focus on that as we allow his love to change the way we look at ourselves. Pray for yourselves and those around you. Ask for His love for us to be such an overwhelming force that we have no choice but to shout out His name. AMEN.                                                                 Your Brother in Arms for CHRIST
