Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6 (NIV)

Everyone’s watching, especially those who choose not to walk with CHRIST. Ephesians 5:15 (NIV) reminds us to “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise.” In some circles not only are our brethren watching us but nonbelievers are watching how we act and speak, we are a witness of CHRIST not only by declaration but by conduct. So “…Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders…”   “…make the most of every opportunity…” When the LORD opens a door, take advantage and walk on thru, making sure to give Him the glory “…making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16 NIV)   “…Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt..” What does that mean? Scriptures translates it as not allowing any “… corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers (Ephesians 4:29 NKJV). Remember to speak life into those around you, speak the Truth that is CHRIST not death and curses not falsehoods and lies.   A verse that I apply daily to my life is 1 Peter 3:15 (NKJV) ” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.” We are told to read and know scripture. When our counsel is requested, we should be prepared with the way of the LORD. One reason to learn the Word would be “…so that you may know how to answer everyone.” AMEN.
