Love does not give up. Love is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not put itself up as being important. Love has no pride. Love does not do the wrong thing. Love never thinks of itself. Love does not get angry. Love does not remember the suffering that comes from being hurt by someone. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (NLV)

Love is: An expression of one’s affection, a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair. An intense emotional attachment to a person. A person who is the object of deep or intense affection or attraction.   “Love does not give up. Love is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not put itself up as being important. Love has no pride.” Like the “Energizer Bunny” Love keeps going and going and going… Our Love for someone should never allow us to give up on them, no matter what the situation. We are to be kind to them in time of hurt and need. We are to be happy when accomplishments are achieved not matter how great or small, we are to rejoice when victory is claimed over despair. We shouldn’t feel any form of stature for our love of them. “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8 NLT)   “Love does not do the wrong thing. Love never thinks of itself. Love does not get angry.” Our Love for others should keep us from hurting them, from using them for our own selfish pleasures. Our Love should transcend all pains and stay strong and unwavering. “Hate stirs up fights. But love erases all sins by forgiving them” (Proverbs 10:12 NIRV).   “Love does not remember the suffering that comes from being hurt by someone.” Wow, that’s easier said than done. But with love, true Love it is possible. With CHRIST being our center and Love being apart of CHRIST we can count on being able to move forward in Love with his mercy and grace. “He who conceals a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends” (Proverbs 17:9 NASB). Take a good read. At first glance you may think that this verse is only for people who gossip, but think about it for a moment. Do you bring up pass hurts to your mate? Do you dwell on what happened and not on making it better, together? You see, this verse is meant for you too.   Love is a powerful thing. FATHER we thank you that your Love for us is so great that you sent you son to die for us. That your love for us allows our transgressions against you to be blotted out form your thoughts. LORD we ask that you manifest this Love in us, give us the strength to move in Love with those around us, starting with our companion in life and our families. We thank you AMEN.
