Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:3 (NIV)

Are you made fun of because you believe in CHRIST? Have you ever been discriminated against due to your belief? Have you been attacked, physically or mentally? Has any of your property been destroyed? Has someone you know, given their life for CHRIST?   At times of trials we must, “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men…” CHRIST faced hatred, mockery, insult, betrayal, pain, torture and finally his body experienced death (even but for 3 days.).   Matthew 10:22 (NLT), “And everyone will hate you because of your allegiance to me. But those who endure to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24:9 (NASB), “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.” Luke 21:12 (New Life Version), “… men will take hold of you and make it very hard for you. They will give you over to the places of worship and to the prisons. They will bring you in front of kings and the leaders of the people. This will all be done to you because of Me.”   “…Consider him … so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Consider CHRIST. Consider the trails that He endured. He walked that path of suffering so that ‘we can endure’ with him. His suffering is to be our strength; our victory will come at the end of it all. 1 Peter 4:14 (NASB), “If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.” Don’t give up. Keep in the battle. Move forward knowing that it is for His glory that we stand firm and conquer. Galatians 6:9 (NIV), “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

FATHER we pray that when we feel like giving up we turn to what you endured, and use you as our strength. We pray that your spirit gives us power to do your will in the face of our enemies. AMEN.
